What does all this mean? How do you
transition into a post-consumer era and why?

The recession has magnified the beginning of a post-consumer era. Yes, consumers
will spend more on brand names, but when they feel financially squeezed they buy
lower price points. A recession will over-ride brand loyalty in tough times, sad but true.  
And, times are changing. Instead of being loyal to a product logo, social media allows
us to brand ourselves. We are the product of our environment, and humanity has set
forth on a new adventure, discovering self and  true potential.
